Sweetwaters Coffee & Tea is one of the best coffee spots in Austin! The location is convenient, the ambiance is warm and inviting, and everything we ordered was fresh and delicious. The drinks were flavorful, the pastries were excellent, and the quality was outstanding. What impressed us most was the friendly and attentive customer service that made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. Highly recommend for great coffee, tasty treats, and a relaxing atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back! ☕😊

Sweetwaters Coffee & Tea is a unique spot! Located off Guadalupe Street. Street parking seems to be the name of the game (or, that’s where I parked). The venue itself is spacious, offering a nice modern aesthetic and vibe. Plenty of tables to sit and enjoy your beverage/telework. I ordered the French Vietnamese Au Lait and it was delicious! Flavorful and not too sweet. Definitely hit the spot and gave me a bit of nostalgia of ordering coffee at Cafe Du Monde in NOLA. Free WiFi after purchase, a generous rewards program (15 points for signing up, 60 points for a free drink), and 10-15% for first UT-students/ responders/ state employees. Definitely recommend and will come back!

Highly recommend this place it’s in Austin downtown! if you like to study or hang out with a friend they have the best drinks and food! the people who work in they’re so nice, also you can do your birthday or any special event at this café, they taking care about everything and they have really good new stuff ❤️L.Austin

Came across Sweetwater by chance as the local downtown Starbucks had an electrical fire and was closed. NOW this will be our daily go to for the week while visiting Austin. So many choices and lots of food options! I mean where can you walk in and get a hash brown to go with your pumpkin cold brew? YUM! They had a cool vibe inside and a lovely outdoor eating space with lots of room and umbrellas. This location was right at the Texas Teaches Association building. Clean, eclectic and so many drink and food choices. They were ready to serve at 7am sharp!

So, to be honest, I’d rate this place a 4.5, but since we don’t have a point system, I’ll give it a 4. It’s conveniently located near the Texas capital, but you’ll have to find parking unless you’re a state employee, in which case you’ll have some parking options nearby. The staff is incredibly friendly and will gladly share their honest opinions on their recommendations. Lynn was particularly helpful and friendly to all customers. I ordered the breakfast biscuit egg and sausage sandwich. The biscuit was incredibly soft and melt-in-your-mouth, which I appreciated. I also got the caramel ice dragon with hazelnut added. While I found the drink a bit too sweet for my taste, it was still delicious. I think this place is a great spot to work. They have Wi-Fi and tables, and there’s even a courtyard patio area where you can sit.
